Community resource centers and supportive living programs for young men and women transitioning to adulthood.

Multicultural friends (series)

  • Wayside provides resource centers and supportive living programs for young adults transitioning to adulthood.
  • For young adults who struggle with obstacles like lack of family connections, homelessness, mental health problems, addiction, and more.
  • Wayside’s programs are designed to help young adults transition to independent adulthood.
  • Services include transitional housing, residential, respite care, case management and resource centers.
  • Ages range from 18-25 and are dispersed among six sites in the Eastern part of Massachusetts. 
  • TWELVE PRESCOTT YOUNG ADULT PROGRAM  For young adults ages 18-25. Referrals are made by DMH (Department of Mental Health). The program provides a “continuum of care” ranging from intensive residential to respite care.
  • TEMPO YOUNG ADULT RESOURCE CENTER One stop resource center for Young Adults ages 17-24. Focus on achievement, employment, schooling, healthy relationships, and practical skills to reach future goals.
  • THE HENRY STREET YOUNG ADULT PROGRAM For young adults ages 18-25. Referrals are made by DMH (Department of Mental Health). The program provides a “continuum of care” ranging from intensive residential to respite care.
  • MERRIMACK VALLEY YOUNG ADULT PROGRAM The Merrimack Valley Young Adult Program offers a continuum of care to young adults including intensive services like 24-hour residential care, supported apartments, outreach services in the community, and respite care. Merrimack Valley staff offer training in emotional coping skills, independent living skills, and intrinsic motivation.
