In this training participants will learn about the broad diversity that exists within and throughout Latinx communities. Most Effective Strategies for Parenting Through Negative Behaviors
Presenter: Dr. Ann-Louise Lockhart
It’s common for parents and caregivers to be annoyed, irritated, and triggered by their children’s negative behaviors. What’s the real issue? Identify your mindset about children’s behaviors, and understanding why the behaviors are occurring in the first place. In this workshop, Dr. Ann-Louise Lockhart will walk parents through the most effective strategies for parents based on her years as a pediatric psychologist and parent coach.

One of the most challenging situations for parents is knowing exactly what to say during specific parent-child interactions. It’s common for parents to feel lost when a child refuses to listen, makes a rude comment, or when a teen appears to be ignoring you. Helpful parent scripts can help parents feel more confident, competent, and effective during a variety of challenging situations. In this workshop, Dr. Ann-Louise Lockhart will discuss her favorite parent scripts specifically curated from hundreds of parent coaching sessions and adjusted based on parent feedback.
