The Wayside PrideSide Team

Wayside’s PrideSide team is comprised of staff who are a clinical resource for LGBTQ+ youth and families who are struggling with mental, emotional and behavioral health issues and need support. PrideSide staff include clinicians, family partners, therapeutic mentors, intensive care coordinators, transition facilitators and parent/peer mentors.

Wayside’s PrideSide MetroWest team partners with OUT MetroWest, a vibrant, local, grassroots organization established to provide a safe space for LGBTQ+ youth support groups. PrideSide MetroWest staff attend OUT MetroWest groups and staff meetings and serve both as a clinical resource to youth and a clinical training resource for its staff and team.

PrideSide’s Lowell team recently received a $10,000 grant from the Greater Lowell Health Alliance to expand and add a group for high school youth who identify as LGBTQ+ that will focus on peer leadership and creating community connections for middle school youth who identify as LGBTQ+.

In addition, as a result of PrideSide’s commitment to serving as a clinical LGBTQ+ youth expert and a resource in the community, we organize various groups and activities that provide opportunities for youth to become engaged with their peers and foster relationships with adults and community leaders, schools and local government officials.
