Community Based Acute Treatment (CBAT)

Service Description
Short-term service for youth experiencing acute mental health symptoms. The service provides psychiatric assessment, individual, family and group treatment, stabilization and discharge planning. Youth are active throughout the day with peer support groups, therapeutic and skill building exercises and wellness and recreational activities. LEARN MORE

We take a wide variety of insurance, including most MassHealth/MBHP products.

Intensive Community Based Acute Treatment (ICBAT)

Service Description
An alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, ICBAT provides intensive residential, day and clinical services for adolescents. Services include: daily psychiatry, intensive clinical services for individuals and families, clinical group therapy, highly structured, monitored therapeutic milieu, crisis stabilization and discharge planning. Short-Term Acute Rapid Reunification (STARR)

Service Description
A rapid assessment and stabilization program for youth, with a goal of returning home. Youth continue to attend their own home school during the day. Individual, family and group therapy is provided. LEARN MORE

Group Home

Service Description

Residential Treatment for youth with behavioral and/or mental health needs who attend public school or another community-based educational program. Service Description
Residential treatment and Chapter 766 approved special education for youth with behavioral and/or mental health needs. Youth attend Wayside Academy for academics and live in one of the residential houses on campus. Youth receive individual, family and group therapy, nursing and medical services, wellness programming and opportunities to learn vocational skills and participate in volunteer activities. Service Description

Acute day treatment program for youth, ages 12-18, who are experiencing acute mental health symptoms which can be managed safely at home. Appropriate referrals are those whose mental health needs are not being met by outpatient level of care. Funded by insurance. Interim Alternative Placement (IAP)

Service Description

A 45-day assessment, the IAP is designed to stabilize behavior within the context of a comprehensive therapeutic educational setting and provide information to assist the public school in developing an appropriate educational program for the student.
