FRAMINGHAM, MA
– Wayside Youth & Family Support Network is pleased to announce it received a COVID-19 Relief Fund grant from the Greater Lowell Community Foundation. The grant will support ongoing efforts to help our families during this challenging time.

The generous grant will provide 200 Wayside families in the Greater Lowell community with $25 grocery store gift cards.

“Many of the families we serve were living paycheck to paycheck before COVID-19 and are now in a situation where they are making really tough financial decisions,” said Elisa Jacome, Lowell site director. “Parents are struggling to provide the extra meals that their kids would normally get in school and from summer programs. These gift cards will help stretch their budgets.”

In addition to the gift cards, the grant will provide funds for sanitation and cleaning of the Lowell facility which has been closed since March.

Lowell is one of Wayside’s top three communities; 250 youth and families receive services daily. While the Lowell site is indefinitely closed due to coronavirus, virtual parent support groups continue to be available.
