Framingham Community Connections (FCC)

Our Mission:

To build a comprehensive continuum of family support that strengthens youth and families in the MetroWest.

Overview:

Since 1990, the Framingham Community Connections has been a collaboration of families, community residents, service providers, business and government agencies working together to identify and address unmet needs of children and their families of Framingham and the surrounding area, as well as identify existing services, foster collaboration, and improve access. We act as a forum for bringing families and providers together to assess common concerns about community needs. We provide an opportunity for families and residents to influence the direction of the Framingham Community Connections program.

Our Programs:

From our Community Teen Work Programs to Monthly Donation Drives to Evidence-Based Parent Support Programs, we are dedicated to supporting local youth and families to help them thrive in a healthy community in any way we can. We are committed to:

  • BUILD Community: We collaborate with local families and community residents by connecting them to local support programs and social events like our Donation Drives, Spring and Summer Community Teen Work programs, Annual Holiday Helper programs, Back-to-School BBQ and much more.
  • CONNECT Local Agencies: Our goal is to build a comprehensive continuum of family support initiatives that strengthen our community. We accomplish this by coordinating support resources with local family-focused service providers, businesses, and government agencies. We work together to identify and address the unmet needs of children and their families in our area by fostering collaboration and improving access.
  • STRENGTHEN Community: Through ongoing collaboration with family focused organizations, we deliver evidence-based programming and ongoing support groups to foster an inclusive community where everybody feels heard and valued.

The FCC is proud to partner with the following community-focused organizations:

Department of Children and Families, Framingham Family Resource Center, Wayside Youth and Family Support Network, Tempo, SMOC, Framingham Parks and Recreation, Framingham Public Schools, Keefe Technical High School, Framingham Housing Authority, Pelham Lifelong Learning Center, City of Framingham, Framingham Public Library, MetroWest YMCA, FSU/MassBay’s College Planning Collaborative, Metro South/West YouthWorks/MassHire, and the United Way of Tri-County.
