Tempo Know Your Rights Group

Civil Rights means that people have the right to be treated the same regardless of their race, gender, or religion. These rights are law in the United States, and you should know them. This group meets Fridays from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Tempo Young Adult Resource Center, 68 Henry Street, Framingham, Ma 01701

Women’s Domestic Violence Support Group

Provides a safe environment to share feelings and experiences related to domestic violence and to discuss concerns while offering encouragement to one another in planning for a safe future.  It’s a place to build friendships, support and heal from the abuse you have endured in your life.  The group meets Wednesdays, 6:30 to 7:45 p.m., at 10 Asylum Street, Milford. Teen Survivors Support Group

 

A teen support group for survivors of sexual violence and/or trauma who are in need of empowerment, coping skills and ways to heal their spirits.  This will also be a good opportunity to meet teens, ages 12 – 19, who may have similar experiences that can help. Take Charge

A 6-week group designed for adolescents (13-17) and their parents.  This interactive class assists parents in taking charge of out of control adolescent behaviors, including substance use, defiance, school problems, curfew violations, and other similar challenges.  Adolescents are required to attend.  The group focuses on assisting them with learning ways to improve communication with their parents, and ultimately to decrease conflict at home.  Attendance at the first session is mandatory in order to participate in the group. Practical Parenting

An interactive 6-week workshop designed to enhance practical parenting skills for parents of children ages 3-11.  This supportive teaching environment provides opportunities to learn creative behavior management and stress management strategies through discussion and videos. Anger Management

A 6-week group for young people between the ages of 13-17.  Groups focus on physical manifestations of anger, strategies to control anger, building supports to manage anger, measuring anger levels from week to week, and developing plans to keep anger “in its place.”  This interactive group allows teens to share how anger has impacted their lives at home, school, or work.  A Pre-screening interview is required. Adolescent Coping Skills Group

Transition Education Group

This is a group for parents of young adults ages 14-25 meets at both our Framingham and Waltham locations. A free, educational/informative, ongoing group for parents/caregivers of adolescents/young adults with behavioral, emotional or learning challenges.

The Waltham Transition group meets on the second Wednesday of the month. Parent Support Group

Do you have a child with behavioral, emotional or mental health challenges? Are you puzzled by your child’s behavior and how to access appropriate services? Are you feeling alone and isolated? Support groups are held at our Framingham and Waltham locations. Come and meet other parents/caregivers in an ongoing, Free and Confidential atmosphere of caring, sharing ideas and mutual support.

Online Parent Support Group

A confidential and comforting place for parents of children with emotional, behavioral and/or mental  health challenges to respectfully share ideas, stories, hopes, dreams, disappointments and triumphs. Any parent/guardian with access to the internet who is interested in giving and receiving support in their own home, on their own time is welcome to join. Parent Support Group, Milford

A FREE Parent Support Group for parents whose teens have experienced Sexual Violence  and/or Trauma and are in need of empowerment, coping skills and tips for healing their spirits.  This is also a good opportunity to meet other parents who may have similar experiences that can help.
