Wayside provides a range of short and long-term treatment programs for adolescents who require a structured day program or a 24-hour a day group home setting. Youth are referred on both an emergency and planned basis due to significant mental health, substance use, and behavioral difficulties. Many of these children have experienced multiple placements with various family members, foster homes and group placements, and come to Wayside with histories of abuse, neglect, and trauma.

Each adolescent in our programs works with staff to set personal goals, such as reducing harm from substance use, controlling anger, increasing school attendance or improving work habits. Residential and day programs also focus on self-esteem and other skills that will prepare the participant for living independently.
