Senator Spilka visits Tempo! On Friday, March 10, Massachusetts State Senator Karen Spilka visited Wayside's Tempo Young Adult Resource Center in Framingham. The Senator has been a dedicated and passionate Wayside supporter- advocating for the agency at the highest political level. The Senator met with a group of young adults receiving services at Tempo. They had a discussion around access to healthcare, education and affordable housing- issues our young adults face daily. In addition, the Senator spoke about new legislation, The Juvenile Justice Omnibus bill, which reclassifies offenses and diverts low-level juvenile offenders from formal system processing to save money, reduce crime and promote best-practices for youth development.
We are thankful for Senator Spilka's continued support and dedication to Wayside!
