Gathering Inspiring Future Talent
Calling all young adults interested in strength-based job training, building resiliency with mental health challenges, or becoming a Peer Mentor, or other career move. In this training, you will learn:
- Peer Mentor Training: Helps you find which skills and supports you need in order to be a Peer Mentor. It can help you decide if being a Peer Mentor is right for you.
- Turning Gifts into Assets: Each person comes into the world with the ability and desire to make a certain kind of contribution to the world around him/her. Find your strengths through a rigorous process.
- Career Development: Topics include goal setting, identifying and obtaining the right job match, developing a resume, creating a cover letter, interviewing and job hunting skills, plus more!
- NO-Cost Free Lunch: This training is sponsored by the Department of Mental Health (DMH) at no cost, and lunch will be provided.
Location: STEPS, Young Adult Resource Center, 12 Prescott St., Arlington, MA
Time: 10am- 3pm
Dates: Tuesdays, March 7, 14, 21, 28 & April 11, 25 & May 2m, 9, 16, 23, 30 & June 6, 13 and 20 (graduation)
No training on Tuesday, April 4 or April 18
